We all know this, we have a dream – a vision, about our future, but we don’t believe in it – so we kill it
Keep reading to find out why and how we kill our dreams when growing up & how you can stop this.
Fact Nr.1: No dream seems too big or unrealistic if you really believe in it!
When we are young we all have big dreams. Becoming a princess, a firefighter, owning horses, becoming a millionaire – our dreams differ from person to person, but we all have them!
It is important to realize that we really believe in them, we think about our dream as something that is 100% realistic and we don’t care that we seem to be the only person believing in us becoming a princess.get access to my free Resource Library!
Fact Nr.2: Growing up kills our ability to believe in dreams.
As we grow older we get to now what “reality” means in this world. Our parents, teacher or even friends start telling us that our dreams are not realistic – too big. First we don’t care, but after some time we start to think the same way.
Instead of don’t listening to them we start pushing our dreams in the big of our mind until we eventually forget about them. Sometimes we even feel ashamed about them, so we stop telling people about our dreams.
A funny way to actually realize that this is true is when we think about Santa Claus. I’m sure most of us believed that he really existed until.. yes, until what? Well, until our parents or friends told us that Santa Claus if just a fairy tail, nothing true about it.
And, if you are like me, you first didn’t want to believe this. But your friends or siblings started laughing at you for still believing so you eventually stopped. Same concept as with our dreams.
But one difference – Santa Claus is a fairy tail, our dreams are a work in progress.
Fact Nr.3: You can start believing in your dreams again!
You learned that your big dreams are not realistic, but everything we can learn – we can also unlearn. You need to realize that this is your life, and you will only get one chance to life the best life possible for you. One chance to create the life of your dreams. Stop settling for something that society describes as realistic if you want something else. You can achieve anything you want.
- If you believe in it
- If you work for it, hard, every day
You can’t achieving anything without having the faith that you can actually achieve it. If you still think that you are not able (even if this is just a tiny voice in your head) start working on your mindset.
Think about what you are putting in your head! “The Person you will be in 5 years is based on the books you read and the people you hang out with.” So choose wisely. If you want to be successful – but things in your life and mind that embody success.get access to my free Resource Library!
But still – if you hang in front of your phone while laying in bed and eating chips each and every day, you won’t achieve anything. Besides getting unhealthy and depressed, I’ve been there, so don’t even try it! If you do this it won’t matter how much you believe in your goals – they won’t become your reality.
You need to believe – and you need to work. No excuses! Make the decision to realize your goals and then work on them, each and every day. Get better day by day. Never stop working. It is important to realize that there will always be hard times, every successful person had to face hard times – but what made them successful is that they never gave up. They kept working for it!
