Today I’m sharing with you how to create a vision board to strengthen your inner girlboss! Vision boards can really help you reach your goals and i really love working with one.
First I will explain what exactly a vision board is, how it works and why you need it!
What it is
A Vision Board is a collection of pictures which show your dreams. To simplify it: if your goal is to write your own book – you will choose a picture that visualizes this. If your goal is to create a balcony full of candles and sweet plants – you choose a picture that visualizes this. I think you get the point.
How it works
I guess many of you have already heard about the law of attraction. If not: I will explain this shortly. The Law of Attraction says that you can achieve anything in life if you believe that you can and feel as if you already have. This is not as easy as it may sound to you. I’m going to explain this on our Vision Board. You put pictures on it which represent your goals. When you know look at those pictures you need to visualize your life if you already reached those goals. You need to feel those emotions you would feel, you need to imagine your life how it would be. The principle is just that like attracts like. Positive thoughts attract positive things. Negative thoughts – negative outcome.
If you want to jump deeper into this: A blogpost about the law of attraction will come soon and i know some really good books about this which I am going to link at the end of this post.
Why you need it
Seeing your goals everyday in front of you will keep you from forgetting them and it will definitely keep you working to reach them. Also if you learn the right visualization process it will nearly guaranty that you are going to reach them!
Steps to create a Vision Board
Now that you know these facts I am going to explain how to create a bombass Vision Board!
You need: Wifi, paper, bulletin board/canvas, printer, scissors, glue
You need to get crystal clear about what your goals really are! And by that I mean – details. How are you supposed to reach something when you don’t even know what exactly it is. Write it down.
Now the fun part: find pictures which represent your goals. They don’t need to represent the details but when you look at the pictures you need to remember the details, you get me? When I create a new vision board i mostly use pinterest and google to find good ones. Download them.
Obviously you need to print out those pictures: so turn your printer one, print them out, cut them out and put them on your vision board. I’m sure you know how this works. If you don’t own a printer ask a friend or visit the nearest copy shop. Also find a nice place to put your vision board, i needs to be somewhere you see it every day so i like to put it on my desk (at the wall).
Now start the attraction process! Good Luck, girlboss.
So that’s it for today! I hope I could help you – if you got any questions I would love to hear them!
