The first step to creating the life of your dreams is to plan your day in the most efficient way.
Let me explain why: the thing is – to reach your goals you need to have a plan (check out my post about planning your goals ), but not even the best goal plan will work if you are not able to plan your day accordingly.
Just living in the day and letting yourself be surprised what will happen won’t work on your way to reaching your dream life, trust me. So the first step is learning to plan your day accordingly to your goals!
These are my 5 Tips to plan your day which I use on a daily basis:
1) Plan the night before
I once used to plan my day in the morning, it worked okey but i recognized that it stressed me out. Every night I would think about what to do the next day and it would keep me from sleeping. When I started planning my days the night before I could sleep more relaxed. When I woke up I knew exactly what I had to do that day.
Sit down every evening and make a list of things that need to be done tomorrow and mark the 3 most important ones.
2) Bullet Journal
You probably heard about Bullet Journaling a thousand times – but have you tried it? For a long time I used to think of it as senseless but one day I just thought – come on, give it a try – and I never looked back.
To explain what exactly it is that makes it so efficient is difficult but Bullet Journaling just makes me feel so motivated, organized and productive. I plan my months, weeks and days in it and it keeps my mind clear and structured!
This is a app where you log in with your Gmail Account. In principle it’s just a normal To-Do-List App, but the way it is organized makes it the best app of all list apps – i love it.
Every night I put every task I need to do the next day on my list called “today”. I love that I can always check what need to be done even when I’m not at home.
You can also make folders in which you can put lists in which you can put another list. So for example I have a Folder for University in which are lists for certain classes.
4) Reflect Daily
Sit down at the end of each day and write down what went good and what good be better. You will get Ideas on how to improve your planning and your days in general so you will always become better and better. You will also learn more about yourself which will give you power!
5) Bonus Tip: Plan time for breaks and selfcare
Sometimes we get so motivated to change our lives that we completely forget about ourselves. It is important to constantly improve, stay focused and productive but its most important to have enough time to take care of yourself. If not you will not be able to keep this lifestyle a long time! Never ever leave out the me-time in your planning.
